IMO....if a NFL player gets convicted of a felony, that player is banned from the league no questions asked, even if the felony is not as serious as murder. If they want to clean their image up, the NFL should stop giving so many 3rd and 4th chances to these players. They also need to be more consistent in their suspensions. Chris Henry (RIP) got 2 games after he got 2 15 year old girls drunk and had sex with them. 2 games for being a pedophile? Michael Vick got 2 games after his conviction for the dog fighting scandal. Granted he did spend 2 years in prison, but his league punishment is separate and should have been more (a ban IMO). Plaxico Burress shot himself in the ass and did not even get a league punishment. Ben Roethlisberger gets accused of rape and he gets 4 games. Some consistency please?
