What Are You Reading Now?

I've read more books in the last 3 months or so than I can keep track of. Most were readable and entertaining but didn't stand out. Currently reading the 6th book in a slightly better than average space opera type of series.

I'm also rereading some Christoper Moore books.



Loved this book, wanted to refresh my memory of the characters in anticipation of the next installment in a few weeks. Points finger at Saz - "kitty"

What's the space opera series?

I'm a sucker for space opera series stuff. Even if its mediocre, I'll cheerfully slurp it down. Its why I've kept watching Killjoys. And why I stuck it out with The Expanse.

You're the second to recommend the Gentlemen Bastards stuff, so I'll have to add that to the pile

Started rereading Windup Girl before going on to the guys other books... then remembered a few days late I had pre-ordered this:



It's the second book in the third trilogy with these characters from Robin Hobb. I'd have to put them in the top 5 if not the top 1 or 2 fantasy series. I reread the original 6 last year when Hobb released the 1st book in the new trilogy last year (after a very long hiatus). The new books are wordier than the previous 2 trilogies and are slower paced, but I don't care, I love Buckkeep and the characters.

First 3 introducing the characters are:

Anatomy of the state by Murray Rothbard. Quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Basically a long, continuous 80's pop culture reference...which is fun. Definately a first novel, but I gobbled it up. Going to be a Spielberg movie in a couple of years, apparently.
