Yeah age certainly takes away from a speedy QB, and o-line issues aside (though note: the eagles o-line sucked in 2010 when Vick had his best year) you need a guy who can stand back and fire off some good passes. I don't know why they fail to teach a QB to do that and then also be ready to take off running when its actually the best option, but it appears that any such attempt doesn't really work.

Shanahan had no confidence in his backup so he kept RG3 in there for too long.
