Chemistry does not guarantee compatibility, and it doesn't have to be present either. My wife and I hated each other other growing up, until we got to know one another through friendship. Our relationship evolved from there, and that is because we did everything we reasonably could to make it work, despite our many differences. We are now so far in love it sickens me. Every year our relationship gets better, and yet there was no real chemistry to start.
Don't listen to Kane. He knows not of what he speaks. If you find someone who makes you laugh, makes you happy and gets you off, give it a real shot.

Maybe you guys found chemistry over time and didn't even realize it because the hatred clouded your feelings towards one another?
