I love living in a city. I enjoy the hecticness (who know that this isn't a real word?), being in the middle of things, access to any-and-all manner of restaurant, store, activity, and being able to look out my office window and see half the city. Basically, I enjoy the rat race.
I grew up in a small town in the country. Didn't dislike it. But, going back to visit family and such, I find it hard to live there. For instance, if I want to have a particular metal piece powder coated, there may not be a place within an hour drive. If I want good pad thai , there may not be anywhere close to get it. If I want special ingredients for a dinner, I won't find an Asian market to buy them.
