I'm not saying he should stop supporting the team at all.
I'm saying that true supporters don't abandon their team when their team has a bad season or two.
If you stick with a team who actively try to seriously injure other players, then abandon them for losing a few games it says something about your character.

I don't get why it's so bad to boo subpar performance from your own team. Phillies fans do it too. It's the fans who keep the franchise economically viable and allow the players and coaches to make millions of dollars. We want good performance in return and when we don't get it, we voice our dissatisfaction.

It seems to be peculiar to Philladelphia. Most fans just stay quiet, but you guys get seriously angry about it.
