Because the Giants won 2 SB's in the past 5 years they deserve a pass even if they lose all of the rest of their games this year.

But the thing is in the years the Giants DID NOT win the SB this kind of 2nd half collapse is very familiar for the Giants. It's strange but under Coughlin the Giants have had a nasty habit of falling apart in the 2nd half of the season. Or getting hot and winning it all.. It's feast or famine.

They have looked very bad these last 2 games. They have a week off to try and straighten things out.. But don't be surprised if they continue to struggle after their bye week.

You know, I was getting ready to say I think Eli is at least as good as his brother and maybe even better, one of the top two or three Q Bs in the league, when it all comes off the rails. I guess I was mistaken.

Eli is a very good QB.. And because I live in NY over the years I've seen a ton of Giant games.. Eli has come a looooong way. He was very bad his 1st couple of years. Now he's really become a good QB..

But he's not now, nor has he ever been as good as his brother. Football's a team game.. Without Peyton the Colts went from winning 12 games a year and being in the playoffs every single year to last year winning the NFL's worst 2 games. That tells me all I need to know on just how good Peyton really is.

Eli and the Giants do NOT win their 1st SB without their defense. Peyton never, ever had that kind of defense. It's a team game.

The Giants 2nd SB, I will give a lot, maybe most of the credit for that win to Eli.. But not the 1st SB, he had little to do with that.

Over the past 12 years you give the Colts the Giants defense and the Colts win at least 3, maybe 4 SB's..
