Its one of those things where I haven't seen either movie or read the book...and can't seem to bring myself to do so.

It was 2011. Very good movie.
Been a lot of other good ones since but yeah overall pretty weak last 12 mints in film.

Watched GWTDT (the US version) then finished the trilogy with the 2 Swedish versions- pretty good and pretty seamless I would say. I really dunno why they bothered to remake them, while shot on a smaller budget the Swede versions are still awesome.
