Speaking of last nights game.. I just read the Texans fired Gary Kubiak... 11 straight loses will put the coach's job on shaky ground. Poor guy has had a tough month.. 1st a stroke, and now no job..

Because of the NYC NFL blackout rule(and though I do not live in NYC, I am close enough to be in the NYC market) about 10-12 years ago I installed an antenna on my roof, pointed it north so on Sundays I can get the stations from Albany NY. Albany is not in the NYC market, so they get the doubleheader game on Sundays, where in the NYC market if one of the NY teams is at home on Sunday Afternoon, no double header game..

So today the Jets are home, against Oakland.. A F'ing bad game if there ever was one. So I flip to my antenna, check out the other game, and it's the Lions vs. Philly..

Snowing abit in Philly is it? LOL On some camera shots you can't even see the numbers on the players jerseys. In the 1st quarter the Lions have already fumbled 4 times..

BTW.. How long before they bench Griffin? Anyone else, within reason would have already been benched.. Today so far the Skins are down 31-0, and he's 4-8 with 37 yds and 1 Int..

Washington's year is already over, so maybe it doesn't matter now.. But he's brutally bad, yet still getting a pass because of 6-7 good games last year.

And next year, unfortunately there will be more replays in the NFL..Probably replays looking at penalties.. They switched to the Raven game.. The Ravens are on the ropes, down by 4, less then 30 secs left.. Flacco throws a pass, the Raven receiver falls down( it's snowing and slippery).. Refs call pass interference.. Ravens get 1st down way downfield.. Next play Ravens score the winning TD.. The Refs are deciding too many games with really, really bad penalty calls.. The game has become more about the Refs, and less about the players.

It was a BS call... The receiver slipped... I'm not criticizing because it was the Ravens.. Even though I'm a Steeler fan I respect the Ravens, and especially their defense.. BUT the pass interference calls are out of control.. They are deciding games, and many, many times after looking at the replies there was no penalty..

That's what happen in this game.. The receiver fell down because he slipped.. Ref called a penalty, that pretty much gave the Ravens the game..

Next year the reply rule will be expanded to include 'some' penalties. IMO..

Edit: And as I see the highlights the Pats won on a BS pass interference call too..

Trivia:

Yesterday there were more TD's scored then other other Sunday in the history of the NFL..

Strange too considering how bad the weather was in the East Coast games. But in the bad weather games I saw it was mostly the running game and the special teams that were scoring the TD's, not so much the QB's.. By far the quickest scoring binge ever was the Vikings and the Ravens combining for five TDs in the final two minutes.
