I know I'm gonna get laughed out of here for this comment, and then (probably) laughed at even harder after Sunday, but f**k it. I think the Eagles have a shot against the Pats this week.

Patriots coming off a brutal Sunday Night overtime loss against a very tough and physical Broncos defense. Their offense is depleted with Gronk probably out in addition to all of their starting receivers and two offensive linemen. With their perfect season spoiled but the division basically wrapped up, this game isn't very important to the Pats, but the Eagles surprisingly are still very much in the hunt, especially if they can win this game. We're also coming off of 10 days rest and Sanchez should be standing on the sidelines where he belongs. A lot of the guys I think of as leaders in our locker room have been very vocal this week about not allowing anyone on this team to give up and the need to show some pride already after losing three in a row, including the last two embarrassing blowouts.

In the end the Pats are obviously still more likely to win, but I give the birds a fighting chance in this one. Or we could get 60 hung on us. Hard to say.

A "brutal" loss to the Broncos? Granted, they're no longer perfect but I wouldn't exactly call an OT game like that brutal. Not like what the Lions did to the Eagles, or the Cowboys against the Panthers.

God, what a terrible division. If one measures the entire division top to bottom (quotes should be around top and bottom), could it be the worst of all time based on the aggregate of crap?
