I turned down a $60,000/year engineering job to become a teacher. I'm a physics graduate; I have plenty of opportunities in the private sector.
Like Menson said, I'm not a saint. I drink. I swear. I have RELATIONSHIPS! And break-ups! WTF does any of that have to do with how I act in the class?
Parents complain about the stupidest crap. One of our assistant principals was reprimanded because she was spotted at a bar with a beer. One beer. This profession is becoming such a joke it's not even funny.
The idea anyone needs to be apolitical online is both infuriating and frankly ridiculous. Yeah, I think weed should be legal cause I'm not an idiot robot to boot. What legal action does the district actually think it can pursue?
