On average It probably works out to something on the less hardcore side of hardcore. But for every person on the side of the spectrum that doesn't wind up doing ass to mouth, I suspect you've got someone on the other side of the spectrum getting gang banged in every orifice and wondering how it came to this. I'm aware that the nastiest extremes don't illustrate the majority. But the point I was originally making is that we have to be careful with assumptions about how happy these countless women who do wind up on the wrong side of the spectrum actually are about it, as opposed to what they'll admit to. Are they really happy with their treatment? Their instant replace-ability if they develop the temerity to draw a line they won't cross?

Yeah I mean you don't have to convince me the extremes and even the dominant norms of the industry are problematic to say the least, but what I'm saying is the way to change it is to conceive porn as a kind of social field with its own norms and assumptions, as opposed to banning it to the domain of irrationality, "sick fetishistic shit," and whatnot. The general american stigmatization and repression of sexuality doesn't enable us to engage it constructively and inhibit the more exploitative dynamics, which are exacerbated by the logic of the market and capitalist exploitation.
