i want to read the books and see the movie but orson scott card is such a gigantic cockhead i can't support him in good conscience

Books are good, though by Children of the Mind he was getting pretty preachy. Not like Alan Alda-MASH preachy but still annoying.

Ender's Game is simultaneously one of the classic scifi novels, and also the only good thing Card ever wrote. Talk about a one hit wonder.

I just hope they don't give away the ending in the movie. The ending was half the point of Enders Game.


...which makes it too bad if people watch the movie first, as it kinda spoils the book.

I am skeptical.

It was OK. Its pretty much what the title suggests.

Anyone who reads Enders Game should of course read the next 3 books...but I don't consider them a quartet. Enders Game is a perfect standalone...the other three are very different and should be considered their own trilogy, really. Jane was a really interesting character...moreso than Ender in those books.

No, I've only read that one, on recommendation from a friend of mine.

Are they buy them good or get them from the library good?

I say library. Or cheapest used option on Amazon. Definitely worth reading, but they don't shine with their own light like the first one.
