Ok jumping off my pandora thread I've been trying to find new ways of getting new music. Lately been using a tunein radio app for Iphone. I listened a couple minutes to latest popular rap shit, got pissed off and have been seeking to explore alternative genres. I've been listening to some funk because I figure it has major historical impact for foundations of rap (by the way, check out wefunk station if you use tunein--amazing). I've also been trying to explore my Latin roots and listen to some salsa.

So, to sum up: hip hop (all kinds, though lately shit on the radio's annoying me, unless I take it in a meta humor sense like they don't literally mean "all I want for my birthday is a big booty ho." hoping it's all some kind of joke and play on rap's thug personas. yes I acknowledge the beat of the birthday song is kick ass don't bother me), a little funk, a little salsa (heard the shit from leivo pia, celia cruz, etc.).

Now when you post music you like has to be stuff you listen to regularly and know at least a few bands' catalogue in that genre. Naming names is always good.

Everything but rap/hiphop and country.

Well, and a lot of baroque music. Don't like the harpsichord.

And if there is a banjo present in any way shape or form I probably hate that music, too.

Hip hop is the only genre I really know a lot about but on extremely shallow level my tastes are extremely diverse.

not very broad. mostly listen to EDM. mainly trance, but like a lot of house styles as well.

I am up for anything except death metal..........just dont get it in any meaningful way

I call bullshit on anyone who claims they like everything except rap and country. People who say that usually only listen to a pretty narrow (and shitty) range of rock music.

I like old southern blues and jazz too so its not all just narrow ranged shitty rock music.
