Inspired by some remarks in other threads...

With urban sprawl becoming an ever-increasing concern for developed (and developing) nations, what are some projects/ideas that you think should be implemented? For example, personal rapid transportation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_rapid_transit

It'll take longer but I don't think much of that will be very necessary for urban sprawl to go away. There aren't jobs out there anymore. They're increasingly centered in and around major metros.

I think geothermal definitely has to be incorporated in any serious city design for the future. I would also like to help design a prefabricated cybernetic house that can be deployed in modules.
