i guess the switch from hydraulic to electric has been a design headache since day one

Plane has millions of hours of flight time behind it. I'm going to assume the Yuasa battery design is wanked until I hear otherwise.
Boeing suffered for trying to outsource so many systems from all over the place during the development of the plane, and it looks like they're going to suffer going forward as well. I don't feel sorry for them.

I was all excited about flying on a Dreamliner on a recent trip from Tokyo to LA (about two weeks ago), but changed flights due to a schedule change. Now I'm not so disappointed I didn't get to fly that route.
