Do you know why or how that question came about. I noticed that when the question was asked a number of people on the government bench stood and clapped - so was there an in joke, or some charity thing going on.....or?

I have no idea to be honest. As others have noted, it is probably the most useful exchange to come out of the Question Period in months.

I have a new respect for Canadian politicians. I wish Washington had their sense of humor.

the PM of Australia did a pretty funny speech back for December 21st...it scared the Chinese, which made it a whole lot funnier.


I love Canada and Australia because they've basically worked all the big stuff out, not much left to do but f**k and enjoy life...basically like living forever trapped in the 1990s, which would be awesome.
