The kinetic energy that makes work possible is derived from a differential in energy levels. Thermoelectric conversion seems so obvious once the concept is put forth.
I imagine this will have some pretty interesting applications and ramifications.

well yeah. you're then able to power your wearable/implanted computer. homeostatic regulation already takes a ton of energy, and harassing power from the waste from that to power more stuff would be exceedingly efficient and awesome
