read the article. just wanted to clear up a few things. crow bar is in calapandayan, those bars are 99% filipino clientele, westerners don't generally go to them because they are dangerous. not a good idea to be the sole foreigner in a sea of drunk filipino men.

sleeping with underage girls in the philippines is retarded. groups like preda and other NGO's offer $500-1000 bounties for turning in idiots looking for underage girls (the NGO's make the money back through publicity/increased donations/grants ). every taxi/trike driver knows this. every mamasan knows this. they can make more money turning you an than they can from supplying girls. the police also have some sort of bounty scheme, although i am not familiar with the details (they make it all back and more when they extort the idiots). police also organize a lot of sting operations, if a young girl approaches you on the street or knocks on your hotel door, good chance she is working for the police - this is well known in the expat community and the reason a freelancer scene doesn't exist in angeles or subic.

also the underage girls they are talking about in the article are 17, maybe 16. no physical difference from an 18 year old, so ABSOLUTELY NO POINT in taking to risk of getting one.

just wanted to clear these things up. there is foreigner no market for underage prostitutes in the philippines and anyone who goes there with the intent of sleeping with underage prostitutes will likely wind up in prison. if it was as big a problem as you think it is, then hundreds of western guys would be getting arrested every day. instead there are a few busts per year.

Also I'd like to point out I wasn't trying to bash you Foadi, I was just pointing out the fact that they are catching people out there, and for all some of you know you very well could be with an underage girl. And face it, you and foreign prostitutes are a topic we all know about.
