I didn't see an individual thread on this, so I'm making one now just in case. Before I ask about any thoughts, do know that it's supposedly not backwards compatible with past PlayStation games.
Okay, now share thoughts.

Not being backwards compatible is a bad, bad move. There's still a ton of great PS3 games that people are going to want to play.
The only way that I see them being able to counter that is if they allow the games to be downloaded to a disk drive and be played that way (like the Xbox360). Otherwise, really stupid move by Sony.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/02/21/ ... ital-gamesThere's something about being able to use emulators for older games though, but as a whole not being able to play older games is a big step back considering how advanced technology is right now. And chances are in the end, I'll shell out the $X00 for a PS4 when it comes out but still keep my other PlayStation systems just because.

They had a press conference for the PS4 but didn't even show off the device because it isn't done yet

...did anybody here watch the conference? Christ.
It's an APU made by AMD. The GPU is built on top of the CPU in the same die. And it's going to have 8GB of GDDR5....
http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/14897 ... erwhelmingIgnore the stupid article. I don't know why he's decrying an APU with GPU processing power that matches/beats current PC GPUs. There will be limited time wasted between the CPU/GPU...
