C is better than F for scientific use
F is better than C for daily use
let me explain
between 0 F and 100 F you go from very cold to very hot
between 0 C and 100 C you go from moderately cold to very dead
C ends up using temperatures between -17.7 to 37.7 to describe the same tempertures of the 0 to 100 scale in F. This means that degrees are larger and variations in degrees (whole degrees) are more dramatic. You end up having to use decimals for degrees, something that F never does. This is because F is descriptive enough just in saying something like "it's going to be in the eighties". the "80s" in C is 26.5 - 32.2 C. You'd end up having to say "the upper 20s", which is as different from the lower 20s as the 80s is from the 70s.
but back to the scale, humans like a scale of 0 - 100 where it is meaningful on each end of the scale. this is why C was created, with 0 being freezing and 100 boiling. this makes a lot of sense in science but it also means that for most all uses of temperture it's pointless as the scale now is like 15 - 30. When 40 describes "very hot" the scale has to be wrong. C is wrong for everyday use. F on the other hand has meaningful 0 - 100 scale for everyday use and should continued to be used
