So I have a ridiculous hangover after a friend I haven't seen in a long time was round yesterday. Anyway I have to be/am going out tonight as well, as Sunday on the bank holiday weekend is treated a bit like New Years Eve round here. I normally go for an isotonic sports drink to help me to recover but I've ran out
. So any tips on recovering quicker because this is horrendous.

Walk to the shop and buy the drink you need?? Else go out and just start drinking again.

Any sugary pop is good, plus Neurofen. Of course, drinking two pints of water before you go to bed is usually best for prevenive measures.

Thanks for the help guys
Couldn't go back to sleep as there was an important football match on, but drank a lot of water and sugary drinks so it's not so bad anymore.
Anyway, if I don't post anything in the next few days, it will be safe to say I've probably been hospitalised

My chemistry teacher back in High school told me the perfect hang over recipe, which I've used many, many times since then, and it works perfectly, especially if you manage to do it before you go to sleep.
What you do is really very simple: Drink at least half a liter of coca cola, and eat some chips/peanuts, two items that are usually very easy to come by.
The reason that it works so well (other than the fact that it's non-alcoholic beverage), is that the coca cola contains phosphoric acid, which acts as a buffer solution for your stomach, and the chips/peanuts are high in sodium, which you will need to replenish because alcohol is a diuretic.
