So, how many PCF folks here are in good ol Tornado alley? Anybody close to some of these intense storms?

So, I know there are about 5(?) of us in the DFW area now on here, and some other outliers in other areas of Texas, but I hope the rest of you in the Midwest/Tornado alley are safe as well. For those of us in Texas, an F4 tornado hasn't happened for quite some time now. I really can't remember the last time we had one like that.

First and foremost be safe, check in. Tonight our area is under just a severe chance of storms, with a rare possibility of a tornado, but tomorrow we are supposed to be getting a much better chance of tornados. Oklahoma is getting pounded right now, and there isn't a slow down in sight either.

I wonder if NAB made sure to have a tornado shelter dug when he remodeled. Would be a shame if all that was left standing was that shiny 6 burner stove.

cnn says the tornado was 2 miles wide

I just heard on the radio that the one that just hit Moore Oklahoma, is the worst tornado in history. Supposedly, something like 300mph wind speeds were recorded, which are the highest ever recorded on the surface of the earth.

I'm assuming it was an F5 that hit.

Edit: Moore was the location of the highest recorded winds ever in 1999 when they were hit, not today's tornado.

Frightening. Entire neighborhoods are simply gone in the blink of an eye. How does a tornado even get that big? Good god. I don't think anyone is from here is out there but god is this scary.
