I hate modern political songs. I don't honestly care how Ted Leo or Immortal Technique feel about No Child Left Behind.

me gusta mucho.
i think one of the issues with political music is that if it becomes your schtick it becomes old. i like to listen to immortal technique every now and then but four or five songs in i'm tired of hearing about g-men and bullshit. and if you look back to the 60s and 70s, some of the most iconic political and protest songs were one-off hits from bands that were usually making music about relatively benign things. too much comes off as trite and contrived i guess.
