Yay or nay? Seems like a hassle but could also be rewarding and fun. Also expensive and style will be cramped I imagine.
Your thoughts, PP?

Much like dogs, I can get by enjoying being around the ones my friends and relatives have and avoid the responsibility of having my own.

Clearly don't want them now, undecided if I'll want them in the future. Means huge lifestyle change and more responsibilities.

One thing I have noticed as more and more people on my social circle are having kids, is that a lot of people especially on their first kid, really pat themselves on the back, like they're doing some great favor to society by reproducing. Don't get me wrong, if you have a kid then you are doing society a favor by raising them well, but the simple act of having one doesn't make you special. It's not like we're suffering from under population. Quite the opposite. You wanna really do a good deed, then get over the primitive urge to proliferate your DNA and adopt instead.
No offense to any parents out there.

That's a big thing that draws me toward it but isn't that somewhat self serving (please don't take offense)?

Children are great and several are manageable, but these people with five or six or more kids, what are they doing? Parents can't possibly give that many kids the time they will likely need.
