This holiday is dedicated to drinking which is why it is the best. So, what are you doing for New Years Eve and what will you be drinking? Recipes are a plus.

I'll be mixing and imbibing a variety of champagne cocktails.

French 75
2 parts gin
1 parts lemon juice
1 parts simple syrup
top with champagne
lemon twist

Old Cuban
2 parts aged rum
1 parts lime juice
1 parts simple syrup
2 dashes angostura bitters
top with champagne
mint leaves

Black Velvet
1 part stout beer
1 part champagne

Ritz Cocktail
4 parts cognac
2 parts luxardo
2 parts cointreau
1 parts lemon juice
top with champagne
orange twist

I won't normally open a whole bottle of champagne to make those cocktails for myself, but with company and the special occasion it should be a lot of fun. I'll probably have one of each and then some sazeracs and diamondbacks to round out the night.

Well, I was going to be drinking beer and mojitos. But, now I'll be drinking an Old Cuban. (wow - that sounds bad)

Beer and whatever cheap nasty champagne the club gives out.

Cava mimosas and probably beers laced thither and yon

Italian white wine and NY gin and tonics..

Maybe a shot of Grand Marnier with a cigar on the front porch at mid-night.
