For the record I am neither liberal or conservative. This man's idea is basically an attempt to brand the poor like the Nazis branding Jews the yellow star of David. May I ask why the Republican party don't like poor people? I don't like it when people say mean things about other people especially people who are disadvantaged.

Because conservatives are vile troglodytes. They are hateful, knuckledragging monsters. They spew rancid bigotry and contempt for anyone unlike them at all times.

He was being facetious in his suggestion that the government open up special stores to provide welfare products. His contempt for the poor was entirely genuine.

I agree. EBT shouldn't be accepted at fast food restaurants. In fact, there should be a significant tax on those meals so anyone who eats there can toss a few bucks toward rising healthcare costs every time they contribute to their own type two diabetes. Soda too.

i have long advocated replacing the entire give-away-food program of food stamps (which we've linked to farm aid -- the whole set up is uniquely american) to instead provide only a gruel that has all of their essentials in just one dish. that way we are providing nourishment, and only nourishment. it doesn't have to taste horrible or anything, but it needs to be motivation in and of itself to not continue using it. want oreos? get a job.

If the gruel was indeed nutritious and eating it for 3 meals a day over a long period of time is a healthy diet, maybe.
