Hoping that my bladder holds. 2hrs 49mins yeesh. I drove by the movie theater 30 mins ago and there were maybe 10 cars out front so looks like a good night to go.

I enjoyed it. The f**k IMAX sound system is just so insane. The rumbling rocket parts of the movie made everything vibrate and you felt you like you were there in the movie with them. Intense as hell. Sometimes it was hard to even hear what they were saying. Made it feel real as shit. Lots of people around me were gripping the hell out of their seats lol.

I already spoiled it for myself. No theaters playing it over here

To be honest, I really really want to like Nolan but some of the parts of the plot just sounded downright stupid, as one reviewer put it an AI-style ending.

That said I'm incredibly jealous you got to see it in IMAX.

the ending of AI was both sad and unsatisfying. a really shit combo for a soft sci-fi romp with a talking bear and allusions to fairy tales.

Saw it last night and thought it was a f**k brilliant movie. Loved the Matt Damon Character. Loved the intensity and gravity of the context. Some of the parts were very very moving. Epic space scenes. Overall I say 9/10 but probably a 7/10 when not in IMAX. Apparently a surprising amount of the movie is grounded in real science, like thats what a black hole really looks like. But who knows.

I'll go see it this weekend.

See it in IMAX if you can. Its intense as hell in there lol.

Is it worth seeing on a regular screen? Closest IMAX theater that shows movies is around 400 miles away. We do actually have the show in town this week.
