If a company makes a black version and a white version of a doll and sells the black doll for a lower price than the white doll, is that racist? Does it imply that blacks are worth less or is it simply dropping the price so that working class people who are more likely to be black can afford dolls too?
What if the black doll was equal price to the white doll? Does that price out certain potential customers?
What if it's more expensive than the white doll? Does that imply and elevated worth of blacks or does it simply discriminate against lower income blacks more?
In asking the questions, I'm assuming that in general white kids buy white dolls and black kids buy black dolls.
