pros -- the reclining plush leather seats were amazing. electric reclining, and you sat in seats reserved before hand. the center of each set of two seats lifted to make it a reclining couch if you like, and you had plenty of room to go almost horizontal with it. probably only fit a third, if that, of the people that it could before, so all in all it was really an awesome experience all around.

cons -- this movie should have never been made. there was no reason for it really. it had some really horrible shitty cinematography moments (like when they were banishing sauron) had some terribly ridiculous moments (legolas recreating something out of mario brothers) it had shit for humor but ican forgive all that, if it wasn't about 1.5hrs too long. it was the same f**k thing for two hours. when a fight between a character that was dead 100 years before this movie takes place and the king of the dwarves, as the orc was smashing about a maul like device and making holes in the ice that they fought on, i thought to myself, this was like the entire movie. the ice was moving the two about, being no longer secured, and they were just thrashing about with no conclusion in sight. this was what the entire movie was: thrashing about. in my opinion, the second hobbit was good because it had the bulk of the actual story. the first and third.... nope. should have made it at most two movies.

Yeah, saw it yesterday, it actually wasn't too bad until they stopped showing the battle scenes and went with the "love" battle scenes. That whole last 45 minutes was a joke. I thought it was stupid they has this massive battle going on and they go to that destroyed city and start having love battles for that guys kids, the made up love between elf and dwarf and so on. That scene with legolas on the makeshift convenient "bridge" was stupid too. My god, I can't believe this was from the same guy who made LOTR.

well tolkien himself gave his blessing to christiopher lee to be gandalf, long long ago. and as saurumon he was good. ian mckellan has had better performances but was still solid and martin freeman was spectacular. but the rest of the movie? yikes. i suppose judged on its own it was not horrid, but this is the final piece of 6 movies that make up tolkiens stories. and judged against those -- including the other two hobbit films -- this was serious shit

I liked it. It's no original Lord of the rings, but I like the universe so it was interesting and fun.

Honeslty, the first two were pretty good. The sequence with Smaug at the end of the second was simply amazing to behold. One of my favorite movie moments to be certain.

This movie fell flat for me. Not enough of a focus on the battles and nothing new or inspiring came about. The love plot was especially irksome.

There were a lot of moments in the hobbit movies where the old Jackson would shine through and it would feel like it belonged in the same pile as lord of the rings...but mostly he's fallen off the wagon and gone full George Lucas.

Won't bother with this until the bluray.
