I'm getting sick of these lib takedowns masquerading as news or insightful commentary. I will say though Oliver is way more thorough than Stewart.

oliver gets facts wrong a lot though and jumps on sensationalized buzzfeedesque outrage.

like when he ran that segment on how old our nuclear missile infrastructure is. ignoring the fact that we purposefully keep it that way to avoid the very accidents and security breaches he assumed the old tech would cause.

I don't care about leftist comedy shows and their snarky faux outrage. You can't account for taste. That being said, where I take issue is when people start to think of these people as actual newsmen. Not that I have any respect for modern "journalists" who are in reality whores and shills, but just because the journalism is near dead in America doesn't make Stewart, Colbert, or Oliver real journalists.
