French toast v. pancakes

You get to live on only one breakfast food for the rest of your life. It will be french toast with maple syrup, or pancakes with maple syrup. You can customize either, but they must remain fundamentally a pancake or a piece of french toast, with variations only including the more traditional alterations (such as adding blueberries).

I like both (had pancakes this morning by chance), but if I'm only eating one for the rest of my life: french toast.
