So much soccer going on right now. COPA is meh but have seen some great goals.
Euro had a great opener with France. England looks tired and couldn't make it happen. Not sure what is going to happen with this tournament. Going for Germany though.

On a related note, the Ontario Rug Hooking Guild is holding their annual competition. If you are interested in competing, please go to
www.ohgc.ca and submit a picture of your rug, along with a photocopy of a valid driver's license and a $15 entrance fee.

Sorry man, I thought that would kind of fit in with the theme... I realize now that it was kind of old-ladyish. What about checking out The Notebook FanFest at the Los Angeles Convention Center in July? I've heard that there will be a live reenactment of the famous waterworks scene.

You know, the soccer riots really speak to the "sport." After decades of watching grown men debase themselves in every way imaginable, the modern soccer fan yearns for a touch of masculinity. With nothing like that available on "the pitch," they have no choice but to turn inwards, a process not unlike incest or long-term incarceration.
