it is a win for russia. it's caving the authoritarians. the olympics should hold everyone to its ideals and it should have no place for this kind of shit. russia should have been banned until 2020, provided that they pass the tests between now and 4 years from now. this means their winter team should also have been banned.
the loss of amateurism in the olympics was a painful blow and one i don't think they can ever really recover from. maybe some amateurs would have doped this, but mostly professionals would
