Never heard of her, saw a reddit post on front page about some girl missing at E3. Post I saw: https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/commen ... t_missing/

So basically a friend of her posts saying she's been missing for 20+ hours, missed her E3 panels that her fans paid for to see her, and didn't tell anyone where she was going or what she was doing. Seemed kind of scary especially since a Uber driver said they had taken her to "La Brea" and she was extremely intoxicated.

So normal white knight shit ensues and turns out she's fine. Her phones had died and apparently she decided to play poker at a casino for 20 hours and just wanted to unplug.

Now she's upset over the people upset with her because she blew off her E3 panel, which pisses people off for obvious reasons. I mean she made a commitment, blew off everyone to play poker for over a full day, didn't say anything to anyone about where she would be or that she was going to blow off her event, and then is now saying she doesn't think she'll ever stream again.

And of course people are still coming to her defense. "Oh well everyone should deserve time off." "When I was 20something, I'd go offline for 24 hours all the time!"

Completely miss the f**k point. You don't tell anyone - not even your friends - where you are going or what you are doing, go missing for 24 hours and assume no one is going to freak out? f**k moron. Look if you need to escape or go offline for a while, f**k say something before just going missing if you don't want people to freak out. I know if my boss or any of my coworkers just up and disappeared and didn't show up to work for a day and didn't answer calls and no one knew where they were, we'd be calling the police and trying to get a wellness check. I don't know what world she lives in where she would think that just going completely missing without a word wouldn't cause people to panic but I guess being a Twitch streamer, she is just used to being in her own little world.

I dunno, just wanted to rant about it because instead of her being thankful that so many people were concerned for her, she is pissed that people cared? Don't worry honey, once you hit 35 and start looking like a piece of tanned leather, no one will care any more and then you can sit and wonder why no one cares instead.

What is an E3 panel and why is it important?

E3 is the biggest video game industry conference, where all the big companies, fans, streamers, industry reps, etc. gather to showcase upcoming video games.

The panel is presumably where the audience asks VIPs questions.

She didn't show up for her panel, and nobody could get ahold of her for nearly a day, so they instigated an internet wide manhunt. Hospitals and police stations and taxis were called, public surveillance cameras accessed, her picture was spread far and wide, every major gaming subreddit had a post about it and that kind of thing.

Personally, I'd be super f**k pissed at this blatant intrusion into my life. As an adult I reserve the right to skip whatever I want and disappear for awhile without my friends freaking out. I don't keep in contact with them 24 hours a day, I don't "check in" on vacation, etc.

If my friends and family had concerns, I'd expect them to relay them to the proper authorities and let them make the appropriate decisions, rather than turn it into a virtue signalling game for internet sleuths. However, she is a famous, good looking girl, so I guess you lose that expectation.
