My uncle --my godfather-- was screaming obscenities at me like literally saying "f**k you" when "discussing" net neutrality. I wasn't even taking the hard line of the FCC needs to regulate. He was so angry about the idea.... Which started after he said that the government needs to regulate Google, but never Comcast

I still haven't met anyone IRL who even knows that net neutrality is. Conservative types think it's "obama" or "regulation"...but they don't know what that means...even as it relates to the topic. The liberal types mostly seem to think its about connection speed from ISP's or making additional ISP's or some such idiocy...

Basically by disagreeing with him I did just that. He was off the reservation and so f**k angry

He told some story of how some guy accelerated in front of him on his way over so he was doing 110 in a 55 to catch up and pass him but there was a red light. Found out the other guy was a cop (cherries went on after he got to the light as the cop had something else to do), but didn't arrest him because he wasn't even aware, likely, that he was there when he accelerated in the first place so didn't realize how fast that guy had to be going to catch up so quickly. The man is so insecure

I agree with this. I'm the opposite in my family - I'm the weird one and most of my relatives are fairly normal people. Apparently my family talks more than most though so there's that. But Galt's family sounds downright dysfunctional - and not in the normal way. Isn't your sister cray too Galt? I recall you talking about her going nuts a while back.

For me it was entertaining watching my drunk British stepfather attempt to argue why cryptocurrencies are going to collapse as my brother inserts the gold standard into the equation. My brother's friend was trying to listen in and I had to inform him that he wouldn't learn anything here.
