Atlanta Braves robbed in Wildcard Game

Anyone else watching this game? Umpire made a bad, and late infield fly rule call on a hanging pop up that the fielder dropped. Would have loaded the bases for the braves who are down by 3. Instead they get an out. Games been delayed for at least 15 minutes and counting cause fans are throwing so much shit on the field and at the umps.

if it happened in philly there may have been riots. in my view, the braves fans who threw beer cans on the field displayed tremendous restraint

I was just saying that exact same thing. In Philadelphia a bunch of goons would probably have jumped onto the field and rush the ump who made that call.

Atlanta Braves should be happy that people still watch baseball. Baseball is as American as the Pony Express, but they're both kinda outdated now.

Terrible, terrible call. When I 1st saw it I thought baseball was using replacement refs/umps. Not only was the pop-up too deep to be called an 'infield' fly ball, but the Ump waited until the ball almost hit the ground before he made the call.. The infield fly rule should be called as soon as the Umps can see if the pop-up is going to be near the infield, not called when they see where it landed.. I mean damn, even the rule in the rulebook says the Ump needs to make the call IMMEDIATELY..

It's a pretty simple rule, I can't understand how it got F'ed up.
