Writing out Massachusetts or some other word you don't routinely phonetically/intrinsically know very well by hand in front of an audience... try it sometime.

Ever since I got Grammarly I don't even bother to go back and correct as I go. I just click click click when I'm done typing and think about it even less. Around here I don't even bother to do that much.

Yeah and with swipe on mobile it's even worse. Just a vague idea of what the word probably looks like and you're fine, but I'm kept honest by having a lack of autokorrect in IDEs.

I never spell check or proofread in my personal life. f**k you, you get what im saying. spelling is a f**k joke and there are very few instances where it matters. who the f**k cares if you can spell massachusetts, its not like someone is going to confuse it for vermont.

In front of an audience i would have spelled it MA and then broken into a cold sweat trying to remember if that is Maine or the other one that nobody can spell.

someone like 30 years ago spelled Mississippi as MP for a content set name here and it's called that in the database still

Lucky with my state's abbreviation. First and last letter of the alphabet. Even Dylan would remember that.
