He has a lot of good points. Sadly he's just reinforcing my belief that George is going to kick the bucket before he can tie all these loose ends together satisfactorily. Actually at this point I'm willing to skip the satisfactorily part, just give us the big reveal (if any) and end it... start with who Jon's real mother (parents) are, kill off all the rivals to the throne, hook him up with Daenarys and be done with it.

both ADWD and AFFC had some good spots but they were rather slow. AFFC dealt mainly with second tier charachters and few that i really cared about. and then in ADWD for most of it nothing happens. only things that happen are after the end of the AFFC timeline (AFFC and ADWD took place at the same time, except for the end of ADWD, so, for two monstrous books, little of importance happens until the end of ADWD). and a bunch of other characters introduced? do these do anything? now he's gotta tie everything back together as well as tell the story of how they get through everything

I'm about to start DwD but I had already read that awesome review on Amazon, so not really a spoiler. I feel obligated to read it, but, after the 4th book, I'm not as pumped as I should be.

I recall another review on Amazon that described the series as a jam band in book form.

the Reek and Victarion chapters are pure awesome though.

so i watched 20 hours of game of thrones this past weekend. highly productive stuff.

4 weeks 6 days to premiere if anyone is counting. which means about 15 weeks until there's the wedding
