Why did the Superbowl suck?

I'm told it was terrible.
I have never watched a Superbowl. I am familiar with its cultural import, I'm just largely disinterested.
Why did the Superbowl suck? I understand people are disappointed with the half-time performance, and why that sucked. But the football fans I know are depressed with the actual game itself. Apparently that too also sucked.
Please ELI5. Thanks.

TLDR: it was very boring
the game sucked because it wasn't even showcasing brady. it was showcasing bill bellicheck and was boring
the coach of the patriots and known cheater bill bellicheck destroyed the rams. he took them apart. the rams coach is 33 years old and was still absolutely humiliated and should commit seppuku. the way bellicheck did this was he had an answer for everything the rams could do offensively
the rams were rank 2 of all teams offensively for the year. average score per game was 33 points.
the super bowl had the patriots win 13-3 over the rams. after 3 quarters, the game was tied 3-3
it was a defensive slog. 27 of the ram's 60 plays were for negative or zero yards. the first 8 consecutive rams drives ended in punts. the announcer was commenting how the record breaking punt was the most exciting thing to happen all game. their star running back averaged almost 100 yards per game in the regular season. he was held to 35. in the 3rd i think the rams were trying to get over 5 consecutive plays in one drive. their qb was hapless
this doesn't mean the pats did much better, but they did good enough. the rams defense shut down brady for most of the game. but in the end it was just boring. watching teams try to run and get between -2 and 2 yards per down isn't fun. that's like football from 100 years ago, before the forward pass was invented.
bellicheck was all behind this, because brady was failing to do anything. if brady actually did something perhaps there would be exciting plays but it was super boring. bellicheck, the evil genius that he is, totally outcoached the ram's coach mcvay.
to top all that, the patriots won, again, and we're all tired of it. brady now has 6 super bowl wins. and this was after two games which most people think the wrong teams won, because of bad refereeing; it should have been chiefs vs saints instead of pats vs rams.
also the super bowl MVP was for the second year in a row a patriot, and also for the second year in a row a patriot who was suspended for the first 4 games of the season for cheating. the guy this year was suspended for using performance enhancing drugs, but since the NFL is a joke, they allowed him to play in the post season (unlike baseball where first offense is half a year + banned in next postseason, second offense is ban for a year, third is ban for life)

Galt is absolutely correct. The NFL is corrupt as shit and the Patriots literally get away with blatant cheating REGULARLY. I'm positive Bellicheck's dirty tricks have yet to be fully exposed. I'm not talking about your run of the bill bullshit, like Mahomes not even getting a chance in OT, or every time someone touches Brady its 15 yard. Yes, they got caught for cheating, twice, and their last two MVP's were literally suspended for 4 games for cheating (would have been banned from post-season in any other league). I'm talking bigger. How the hell have the Jets, Fins and Bills been so bad, for 20 f**k years? Bellicheck has an inside job on all of them, ensuring they consistently suck and the Patriots will never miss the playoffs and probably never get stuck in a wild card game. Last night McVey was waiting to call plays until the 15 second communication cutoff - what an amateur move, Bellicheck is talking to his safety's the whole time anyway and listening in on your shit too!
I was flying for the second half and the best part about the Super Bowl was when the FA announced the final score, a lone patriots fan (and his wife kinda) cheered obnoxiously. The flight attendant said "should we throw them off the flight" and the whole flight cheered.

The Super Bowl sucked for most people because everyone outside of Pats fandom hates the Pats and the Rams fandom doesn’t exist. Thus most people just wanted to see “a good game” by which they mean lots of touchdowns. I was rooting for the Pats and I enjoyed the game. Low scoring game where you have lots of defensive pressure up front and tight doverage can be very exciting cause every series feels so high stakes. Instead of “hmmmm, this team scored, but the other will probably score in response”, every first down feels huge. By popular standards, the game did suck because there were like a billion punts, but I don’t mind that kind of football because there actually was good coverage and impressive defensive line play. It wasn’t just guys fumbling the ball and missing wide open receivers all night.

It was a worldcup final ending in 1-0 with few shots on goal.
