Unless she hit me with something other than her hand I personally wouldn't ever retaliate against a woman. Double standard or no the guy was a dick. People should show restraint unless there is a real threat.

Would you clock a 12yo because they got mad and took a swing at you? I would have treated this woman the same as a child and laughed at her ineffectual tantrum.
