In a utopian world we'd all dismantle our nuclear weapons.

But as seen as that's not going to happen, mutual deterrence with weapon inspections is the best option.

Does anyone know the relationship Iran's military have with the government. Are they like the US where the commander in chief says do this or that and the military does everything in its power to fulfull the mission. Or is it like Pakistan where the military sets itself almost as a third party and does what the government asks, if it feels like it. Why do I ask this? Many times over the years the Pakistan military has said if a Taliban like regime takes control of the country, the military would destroy or otherwise dispose of their nuclear weapons before they could be accessed by the regime
