I think I like where this is heading.
One exception. I don't mind drones overhead with their cameras on looking for general things. Traffic jams, speeders, etc. But, they need to be utilized using normal police procedures. No focusing on one person unless that person is a person of interest (suspected speeding, suspected robbery, etc.). In other words, he would be just a cop following or watching someone.
If I'm not mistaken, I don't think that a cop can just follow someone or sit and watch them (beyond just normal stuff) without having a reason, right? When I worked for the police, I remember someone saying that we could not just sit outside a bar, watch for people stumbling to their car, and follow them, waiting for something to happen. We had to catch them in the act, without taking special actions. I'd love to know the technical reasoning behind this.
