I'm asking honestly... beyond guns... I'm completely pro gun, but it's not exactly apparent what they do with their lobbying power on other fronts, social, economic etc.

I assume the individuals running the NRA also want to be powerful and make lots of money (like all lobbiests) but otherwise it's pretty much just guns:

it's interesting how the media went after the NRA so hard for being a "corporate lobby" when they're probably among the more grass-roots. or should I say ironic?

The NRA has one purpose: to flood the planet and particularly this country with as many guns and bullets as possible. Forget this whole "Second Amendment" charade--that's the trojan horse for what is essentially an arms industry front.
