Top U.S. CEOs urge increase in tax revenue: WSJ

It's pretty amazing how staunchly against this the heads of the GOP are when the majority of Americans and lots of CEOs/top 1% members have come out in favor of raising their taxes.

Even the rich know that if their taxes are too low it will lead to economic problems far worse for them than higher tax rates provide. They want gov't to step in and do it for them.

Mitt missed a big opportunity to seize on this and promote tax cuts for everyone but the wealthy and tax raises for them to pay for it. But nope.

Look, regardless of what various retard politicians are telling you, balancing a budget on the national level is no different than balancing it on a personal level. The only way you can possibly do it is by increasing the amount you put aside to pay for stuff (taxes) and by decreasing the amount of stuff you pay for (spending). It isn't f***ing rocket science.

First off, I thought that we all agreed that running a country like a business wasn't proper? I thought it was, but I keep being told that deficits don't matter, and that we don't need to balance our budget.

Secondly, less than 20% of the fortune 500 CEOs are in favor of this. Not exactly a plurality.

Lastly, I don't disagree with this. I think that, if it's important to have a balanced economy, then taxes need to go up and spending come down.
