florescent light is harsh on the eyes. incandescent is far superior. led can be okay, it's better than florescent anyway. but if people would rather spend the money on power to have the better light, they should be able to do that

i've had incandescent light bulbs for years in overhead lights that i use every day for hours. ive never heard of a lightbulb burning out in a month

oh and dobby, tungsten is used in florescent lighting as well

Along the same line of logic, hummers and other fuel guzzlers should be banned for personal use. The new bulbs are ok but their lighting ability kinda sucks imo.

Nope. If you can and want to pay more for an inferior product, then you should be able to. If you want a Hummer with 1000w incandescent headlights, then have at it.

I started getting the squiggly bulbs because I'm short and they last longer so I don't have to go searching out my step ladder to change them as often. I only use regular bulby bulbs on outlets that have dimmers but, I noticed some of the squiggly ones do that now, so as they blow I'll probably get them instead.
