Also I have to note that the reactionary obsession with "cultural assimilation" is hardly a cosmopolitan attitude. More akin to authoritarian mindsets if you ask me.

Boris, do you think having people separated from their families for extended periods and not making enough money has anything to do with the breakdown of the family unit?
I propose the sad state of the family is due to people not having the time and resources to properly care for their families and therefore the responsibility for this lies at the feet of capitalism.
Just another entry in the litany of wrongdoing that capitalism promotes in it's pursuit of profits over people.
