65 Year olds, many of who are on a FIXED income, and many who will have a pre-existing sickness and condition are an attractive customer for Heath Insurance companies?

I find that impossible to believe.

If the HI companies were allowed to pick and choose which 65 YO's they wanted to insure, then maybe I can see it.. But without that? No..

Great long post Prof--good idea.

I think we can all agree that like so many bills, once this thing became this monster length there was your answer right there.

I've always said that when somebody makes something that long of a bill, they're trying to hide something in it. To hide the needle you make the bill a haystack, so to speak.

The problem is, only one party would even consider rebooting this and passing it. To the GOP this would be the holy grail--defeating "Obamacare"--and then having nothing to replace it.

It reminds of when, during the Rodney King riots, some people set fire to their apartment buildings. Um yeah, probably seems like a good idea in the moment but, um, guys?.....
