What's so astounding to me is the total lack of action by all the nations in the region. ISIS poses a geographical threat to them that it does not to us, yet they're just sitting there. Apparently waiting for us--again--to do something.
We launched an all-out war when the Saudis thought Saddam threatened their oilfields--oh wait I mean to liberate Kuwait--and yet in this instance the Saudis seem to just be watching from the sidelines. So either they're thinking that we'll fight for them or maybe they're actually fine with all this.
