Certainly looks like we're moving towards increased hostility with China. This will be.......interesting. I don't think the average american is aware of how impactful this move will be on Hong Kong and US/China relations.

The curfew is being violated, but they aren't stopping it. They are trying to take over another police building. Apparently the only possible charge of 3rd degree murder (others require intent to be proved) isn't enough. Nothing is enough, since it's not about Floyd

I went into the city to pick up my partner's brother and his gf. They are on the edge of it, but a block away things were happening. They can't sleep, they are a mess up at their place, so I picked them up to come down to the suburbs. I went the long way around and it was weirdly fine over there, but f**k, this is so f**k. A government building had a fire near me today. I need to check it out later see what kind of damage was involved, but it is spreading

The curfew order has no exceptions for anyone. Reporter arrested. People being shot with rubber bullets, but there's no other choice then letting them destroy the city which isn't a choice at all.

I'm f**k sick of people on the internet saying this isn't as bad as someone getting their neck crushed and killed, it's just buildings. It's my f**k city, it's people's homes and businesses. There is legitimate terror in the voices of people I know, it's outside their homes. People burning barricades in middle of residential streets. I don't wish this on anyone. YES what the cop did was awful. YES we need legitimate reform. I don't want this to ever be something someone would consider as appropriate. But I completely support restoring order

Yes there are likely agitators of all stripes using this for their own ends and they are destroying my city
